Outgrowing your job is normal.

This weekend I had to transplant one of my plants into a bigger pot.

It had become too big for it's current pot and it was time for something that gave it more space to grow.

The same thing happens to you too.

It is normal to outgrow jobs.

It is normal to want to find a new space to grow in.

It is normal to want a new challenge for yourself.

And the more we fight this, the more painful it can be to stay in the same spot in our career.

Because you become stuck and that my friends is another road that will lead to burnout.

2020 has pushed a lot of nurses to reevaluate what is next for them and their nursing career.

If you are one of them, here is my biggest piece of advice.

Allow yourself to explore what it would be like to move into a new direction in nursing.

What would you be doing?

What sort of hours would you be working?

Would it be leaving direct patient care?

Or maybe even leaving traditional nursing roles?

Just allow yourself to fully in that space.

Then ask yourself what would be the first step I would need to do to make this happen.

Whatever that step is, commit to doing it.

Now your brain will probably freak out a bit and say "No, we can't do this right now! There is a pandemic, there is no opportunities! It's too risky!"

Stop that noise.

In 2020, several of my nurse clients started new businesses, moved into new roles and got new jobs even in the middle of a pandemic.

The only difference between them and anyone else is they were committed and had someone helping them stop the self-sabotage.

And you can have the same.

Even in the middle of a pandemic.

All it takes is setting up a consult with me and the belief you can have it.

Because you can.

I believe in you and your possibilities.

P.S.

I am on a mission to help nurses get off the road to burnout and learn how to move forward in their careers into jobs they want without the guilt, drama, or self-sabotage.

If you have outgrown your job, let's set-up a consult.

I will help you create your path customized to your goals and specific needs.
